The liberal name calling is amusing, but I can't remember a lot of "leberals" "rallying" against Hoover, at least in the last 15 years. You must be sensitive about that part of US history"

John, this is not a pi$$ing contest over who is the most conservative. We are usually just looking at the same thing but from a slightly different angle.

As far as liberal "rah rah" rallying points, it's not too difficult to come up with a top ten occurances that keep getting rehashed over and over again. Hoovers investigations are one, McCarthy another...something about a bus, etc. Not too hard to fill in the rest...
They all fit the same agenda...you can probably figure that out too.

Jim

JF, <The nouveau talk show conservatives think that deficit spending is a good thing, as long as a Republican is the catalyst.>

Which talk show hosts? Rush sure isn't fond of Bush's advancing of the liberal agenda these days.

<When I talk to real, old fashioned conservatives, they seem at the least, disappointed with Bush.>

I am a Libertarian, but have always voted Republican -- as the lesser of two evils (the Democrats being the greater evil). However, Bush is starting to irritate me. Issuing stupid ultimatums against Israel, steel tariffs, pork-barrel farm bill, knee-jerk airlines subsidy, deficit spending and now a flip-flop on global warming. His "do anything to get elected" modus operandi is starting to remind me Clinton's.
