No question that your calls on gold and silver have been golden. :) Tell me, what do you disagree with: 1) my assessment of what you believe will happen or 2) my beliefs on what will happen or 3) both? I think fiat currency is here to stay. Deficit spending and inflationary government mismanagement is not. When the shit hits the fan, the fix won't be to reinstate the gold standard like the gold bugs believe, rather it will be to fix government mismanagement of funds. The truth is that their are too many damn lawyers in Washington and too few businessmen. If there were more businessmen, with business education up there (Bush being one of them), we'd have more fiscal responsibility. I don't know how to fix it, but there's something really wrong with a government that believes it's ok to spend $2 for every $1 they bring in.
