Israel had done this, there would be world condemnation and another U.N. investigation.

The whole strategy counts on Israel not descending to the same level. If the Israelis responded to such an outrage by picking an Arab town and shelling it for a few days, then the strategy wouldn't work.

Arafat clearly can not control the situation

That's still unclear. With regards to terror, Arafat has obviously adopted a "if you can't beat them, join'em" philosophy. Fatah -- his own organiation -- has claimed 40% of the attacks this year. The IDF found invoices for bomb belts with Arafat's signature on them.

The PA seems to be its own worst enemy

The PA is responding to the wishes of its real patrons.

I agree with that because the Palestinians allow themselves to be duped into something stupid. There is no honor in attacking civilians. Americans respect peoples that are struggling for freedom, but attacking the defenseless makes me think they are cowardly, and are unworthy of a country. I want to see a Palestinian State, but the arguments carry no weight with others after something like this.

The Israeli's know exactly how to manipulate them IMO.
