*OT* Baseball ain't going away, but try a gradual decline....
Soccer participation will continue to rise (at less severe angle), but will that translate in men pro outdoor success (financially)? Who knows? Better hope patron financial saint Anschutz doesn't get caught up too severely in Qwest problems.

I do know that a couple boyz from the US team likely just secured multi-million dollar Euro offers from today's game...what a difference a day makes!

Remarkably, the US could finish in final 8 now....would likely take a win against Korea in next game to finish group first...hard, but certainly possible..

If so, possible 2nd round opponent would be Mexico, Ecuador or Croatia...all teams that US COULD beat. However, finishing 2nd in current group means a game (in all likelihood) against Italy. Doubtful Yanks win that (but, as today shows, anything possible in soccer).

Before the tourney started, you probably could have got 100-1 odds (or better for US making final 8). They were 12-1 underdogs this morning...that's Buster Douglas territory.
