Who says there is no record of it? The Bush hating media? I'm surprised E that you don't see the difference between political dissembing or backtracking and lying to subvert a judicial proceeding. I thought you were much more intelligent than that. <g> Living in NH, I have had an opportunity to meet most of the political candidates face to face and have participated in various political forums with most of them as well. Politics is very retail here. One my my closest friends was Quayle's NH point person when he decided to make a run for the nomination. I got to see, hear and speak with the man quite a bit. Neither he (nor his wife) is anything remotely like the media has made them out to be. I did not have as much contact with Bush but based upon the contact I did have, I am quite confident the situation is very much the same. JLA
