Flapjack, I'm not talking about somebody else. I'm talking about you. I've been completely civil to you the entire time here. Never told you to kill yourself, never did the junior high school name alteration thing, never suggested you wanted minorities to not have the right to vote, none of that. Why is there no "right-wing rage" over the "sluggards" on this thread who are "above hard work" from me? Simple. None of them post what you post. I don't agree with a lot of what I read here. I feel the same way about anyone who screws off while they are getting a salary. I see the receptionist at the front desk of some office reading a romance novel and talking to her girlfriend on the phone, same thing. Doesn't matter if she is a Democrat or a Republican. I don't pay much attention to that anyway. You're a valued employee? That is great. Good for you. I'm sure you worked hard to get where you are. Most of us did. What I do find interesting is these reasons you give for goofing off at work. The reasons you gave are interesting. "Somebody else does it more than I do, so it's OK for me to do it." "EVERYONE else does it so it's OK." You claim there is nothing at all wrong with it, and in the same breath you attack me and say "Everyone else does it, so no big deal, and what about all these other people? Why don't you hassle them?" It's comical. You've positioned yourself (with your union) so that you're basically untouchable. You can do pretty much whatever you want. I would humbly point out to you that the guy who started that company where you work probably worked twice as hard as you have for twice the time you have. He trusts you, he pays you, and without him and his company you would be out of work, at least temporarily. Or, maybe he started the company 100 years ago and left it to his kids and his kids goof off because they are wealthy. You collect a salary and you goof off. That's my point. If the owner of the company goofs off, he does not get paid. Worse, the business could fold. If you goof off, you get paid. That's all I am saying. Is it "wrong"? Is it "right?" I work twice as hard as you do, sir. Guaranteed, I work twice as hard as you do. I work around 80-100 hours a week. And I don't get paid a friggin' dime unless I perform, because I own the business. I am my only "employee". Thirty years ago, I was a registered Democrat. Now, I'm not. Thirty years ago, I despised lowlifes (regardless of race, creed or color) that sucked energy and money out of the society. I still do. The only difference is I now have a much better understanding of who sucks the energy and who supplies it. You're missing two things; first, nobody owes you one damn thing, and nobody ever has. You can believe the guy (or gal) that signs your check owes you something, but that doesn't make it true. Second, what goes around, comes around. This society you and I live in has pretty much lost itself at this point. In my opinion, it's immoral. TV is fights, porn, and mind altering prescription drugs. You're old enough to remember back when "nobody" locked their cars or their front doors, "nobody" swore on television, and "everybody" went to church on Sunday. Why do you think things are different now? You can yap all day about how it's the "evil right-wingers" or the "evil left-wingers" or the "Evil Bird Men from Zargon" and it won't change a thing. The reason things are jacked up in a Major Way is simply because you don't see that even though "everyone else does it", "it" might still be wrong. Lying might be wrong. Cheating might be bad for your health and the health of you family, your job, and your whole way of life. And you yourself just maybe might possibly perhaps be slightly a little tiny bit contributing to it, and getting paid to do it instead of doing something constructive while you are being paid your union wage. You may be fooling your boss, but you sure don't fool me. I've been there. I came out the other side. So you can take your bullshit racist remarks and your teenager "Everyone cheats so it's OK.", and "Anal sex on Channel 5 is fine; it's Free Speech", and the rest of your braindead reasons why the nonsense you bitch about is not 100% your own damn fault, and place it all in a dark area.
