True, and it depends on one's situation. For me, a second line is around $25/month when all the little 'fees' are added in. AT&T unlimited internet access at $22 makes the deal $47/month. DSL is $49.95/month from Verizon, with the first three months at $29.95 and a free modem. I'm a trader, so I have to keep the phone backup as AT&T dialup access is MUCH more reliable than broadband, but as a trader my situation is not the norm...

Regards,
John

*OT* Also, my wife works at home, so DSL can come out cheaper if you want to share access rather than pay for two dialup accounts. Of course that is also true for cable.
