Jim, what you "assume" and what I "admit", are certainly different from each other. I used to teach quite a lot, and anyone that would give me a five page argument would fail. The case for and the case against gold can be made each with half a page, even that might be too much. I have been talking about the link of gold and dollar for about five years here, and since my current scenario has an explosion of the trade deficit and a resulting decline in the dollar, I had a bull move for Gold for already six months or so. I also suggested that after $300 is taken, $330/40 will serve as a barrier and later this year or early next year, a possibility of a spike to $400. As for the various conspiracies, maybe the exist maybe they don't, but gold is not a metal which is in short supply once the price is above $300/ounce. I am already going beyond the half page, so, I'll stop here. (g).
