Now you're getting into McCarthy-style responses. I disagree, so I am abetting the enemy. This is exactly the kind of thing I fear. Dissenters are lumped with 'the enemy'. To say that someone's lifelong (and possibly many generations-long) religious beliefs are a behavioral profile simply skirts the real issue. The issue is: are we going to violate the 14th amendment because it makes the job of security easier? If so, what is next? Ashcroft grabbed for more: ability to hold suspects indefinitely, without charges. Guess he forgot he lives in America.
