Now if you say you are a part of the war mongers and Palestenian haters then that is different.

IMO, and as evidenced by the hostility on this thread, in the media, and in America in general, it will very difficult for the President to convince Americans of the good nature and the potential of the Middle East.

I think his desire is to move away from Europe since the Cold War is over, and move more towards the Middle East. From Iran to Morocco, I think he see's the "untapped potential" that history shows is there.

However, in the spirit of Arab hospitality, he knows that we must be "invited" into the region, by following the Palestinians on the path towards peace. I don't think he wants to force his way into peoples homes.

Being "invited" into the region would also greatly help him to persuade the American people to lower the psychological barriers that so many Americans have towards the Middle East.
