The broad point I wish to make here is that there is a huge amount of fraudulent, scammy, unethical, and criminal behavior in the stock market.

As has come to light in recent months, this occurs across the board from penny stocks to the New York Stock Exchange.

Almost all of this is perpetrated by company insiders or others who try to push a stock up. Calling them longs is incorrect, as generally they are selling stock.

Very, very few of these crimes are prosecuted.

Now an enormous prosecutorial effort is expended against Amr Elgindy, a person who influences stock prices in the downward direction, a person who loudly exposes true facts.

This is the basic injustice that I perceive.

I consider myself a very ethical person, and in fact that is a big part of why I am a shortseller and an exposer of truth. It bothers me a lot that my brethren and I are painted with a broad brush of suspicion when the real criminals are laughing all the way to the bank.
