Red Hat CEO says slowing IT markets good for RHAT sales
19 Jun 09:38
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Slow information technology spending has helped Red Hat
Inc. (RHAT), said Chief Executive Matthew Szulik.
The economic environment in the sector "is actually good for our business"
because customers see immediate results when they buy Red Hat software, Szulik
said in a CNBC interview Wednesday.
Red Hat reported a net loss of 3 cents a share on sales of $19.5 million for
its fiscal first quarter ended May 31, compared with a year-earlier loss of 16
cents a share on sales of $21.4 million.
