Insiders - apologies I read you wrong.

Scarcity - but when they go belly up their cash value is approximately zero. The opposite side to IPOs/Secondaries are Cash takeovers not delistings, as these take shares out of the market and replace them with cash. IPOs replace cash with shares

Sectors - I am seeing so much change in leadership that I have no idea what will lead us out of here. Biotechs looked better 2 weeks back when semis got killed, now its internets and software (short-term). My best guess is that we are in a big and wide range.

Sep Lows - I really have no idea, we are in a strong downtrend. We either capitulate and rally, or go sideways a bit before we rally, or maybe neither. But you are right Ms Market will always do her own thing.

VIX - I use the weekly stochastic of VIX, when it reaches o/bought it has usually picked up a low in bullish sentiment (relative for the last quarter or so). There is no need for a VIX spike just a reasonable period of periodically high vols.

We shall see - I am a follower rather than a predicter.
