Mike, Rev. Jerry Falwell is a good decent and honorable man from all I ever heard from him. I don't agree with some of his beliefs. But I have no reason to not believe he is an honest man. To me a litmus test of the stupid, and ignorant is disparaging Rev. Jerry Falwell with others who have acted badly. More directly to the point, if one looks to the Gospels of the New Testament and the reporting on the life and words of Our Lord, there is a perfect symmetry in the acts of Our Lord's life and teaching to love, forgive an tolerate others. And throw the vacant liberal minded lefty loon money changers out on their ear. Which is their butts as we all know where their heads are.

I believe that the Christian Right is preaching the Christian way is the only way, and intolerance of others. Did you forget Falwell's statements that the WTC was caused by our lack of faith...i.e. the fact that we don't all send him money? His retraction was caused by political pressure, but it is apparent that he believes that America must become ultraconservative Christian or will be smote by the evil Muslim hoardes.

You obviously did not read the material I linked to on Islam, so there is no real purpose to addressing your comments on Islam. You seem to prefer to stay uneducated with statements like "The Muslims who are following a set of belief's contained within the Koran which support terrorist acts ...number literally in the millions".

I would have no problem living in America if it were 90% Muslim. I live in a very diverse area (Bay Area CA), and I believe diversity creates a more balanced, tolerant society.

You seem to be confusing the crazy, radical governments that say they follow Islam but in fact do not. If you had read the other link I posted entitled DOES ISLAM ALLOW THE TAKING OF HOSTAGES, SUICIDE, etc.?, you would see that there is a difference between the crazies and the overwhelming majority of Muslims.

Do you think that your icon Bush is wrong when he makes statements that say the vast majority of Muslims are good people, and that Islam is a good religion hijacked by extremists?

Religions are indeed different. They have different strengths and weaknesses. As the radical Muslims exploit the weaknesses of Islam to their own earthly gains, as do Falwell et all exploit Christianity. I believe that they will be judged equally harshly in the aftermath.
