Re your comments.... a) Believe we need much more information on things to do for any natural or manmade disaster....where to go, who to get ahold of, etc.... Government could give some real help here... b) Give some examples and links for that statement, please. c) What are you saying.....? Since when is the media God? When were they elected to be in charge....and exactly what is the media doing to make the country any safer....? By "awkward" questions....do you mean why Clinton administration did nothing to disabuse terrorists that the paath they were on wouldn't be tolerated? (i.e. Cole, embassies, WTC #1 time, etc...) or i.e. when Clinton wouldn't even talk to his CIA director for MONTHS???? THOSE kind of awkward questions???? d) Oh give me a break! Has Al Gore sold his shares of OXY? Provide specific proof for your statement. e) Agreed....(surprise)....AND WHILE WE ARE AT IT....STOP giving ANY kind of US aid to ANY country that is harboring terrorists AND is doing nothing to rid themselves of them! f) Don't you read the papers, or listen to any of the news of the day...? I personally think that someday you will live to rue the day you were so wrong about our government.... Someday, there will be books about exactly what kind of terror plots were underway against the US and some of its allies.... Ask yourself, WHAT possible scenerio would make ANY administration do what you have been suggesting....Even the past one? ******************* a) Domestic Security is priority #1. Neighborhood watch, like WWII, w. block captains Get to know your neighbor programs. This has the added advantage of cutting down ordinary crime, getting citizens involved in protecting themselves. So far, that has been the only effective defense we've had. b) Disclose events, rather than using what turn out to be bogus excuses for "national security" secrecy for CYA and media manipulation. c) Answer the awkward questions on what happened on 9/11, allow those arrested to be questioned by the media after interrogation. d) Stop the appearance of war profiteering by business associates and immediate family e) Stop trading with the enemy. Period. f) While blowing in the doors and bouncing the rubble in poor countries around the world, hold a national debate on how to avoid continuing this into a Crusade.
