There's absolutely nothing vindictive, perverse, or otherwise nefarious regarding my highlighting the pathetic under-performance of biotechs. I derive absolutely no pleasure in the diminishment of others' wealth and this is manifested most clearly in the post you are responding to. To whit, it is not me who has remained bullish towards BTs beyond any reasonable measure of prudence but rather the vast-majority of self-proclaimed biotech mavens on SI who, while continuing to post reasons why the sector will soon recover, fail to fully fathom the unbelievable destruction that has occurred. The fact is the vast majority of investors are now under the impression that the biotech sector is a hall of smoke and mirrors...to a degree that the internet and telecom sector could ever come close to matching.

Don't blame me for proclaiming the King has no clothes. The 90% loss in the VD portfolio declares in no uncertain terms that, save for the oh-so-insightful mavens on SI, BT investors have realized that long ago.

The BT threads on SI are the last remaining vestige of the NASDAQ bubble. And since the BT bubble was the worst of the bunch, it will suffer the longest and most devastating hangover.

That is, of course, except for HDII.

The Devil Incarnate,
Scott

PS - And by the way, here's another 'King has no clothes': y'all are downright scared - you're outright bullied - by Ricky Harmon. Damn straight. Y'all never SERIOUSLY challenge his BS...and many of your portfolios have paid dearly for such passivity. It's all sweet-nothings to each other until...well, until times PRECISELY like the past two years when y'all realize it's helium.
