When Neo started asking for other legal opinions, it raised an interesting pair of questions in my mind.

SI set up the moderator role, which was not in existence when many of us purchased our memberships in SI, and enforces it through their software programming.

Two questions.

First, is this an infringement on the rights of people who purchased lifetime subscriptions when there was no moderator role, and therefore the right they purchased included the right to post anywhere on the service?

Second, they give the actual authority to moderators to decide what people may use or not use certain services of SI.

Does that make the moderators agents of SI, and make SI responsible for any abuses of their moderator role?

As a lawyer, though of course speaking informally, what are your view on these questions?

I haven't seen any law on this. Maybe I'll take it over to the legal thread and see what pops up.
