When people have a higher power of guidance that threatens state power, socialistic man's subservient to the state is difficult to create. The same was true in Germany. The state became the religion.

Modern liberalism is aligned with this same principle. All rights must go to the state. All money must go to the state. All wealth and property must go to the state. All businesses must be owned by the state. And all decisions must be made by the state.

It's no coincidence the above sounds very much like a cult.

Socialist communism, as practiced by the former Soviet Union, was like that. Information destroyed their vision. Information which told their citizens many of their religious leaders were liars.

America, with it's deeply held judeo-christian religious society demonstrated that freedom from the state, was a better path to follow. So the churches across the former Soviet Union have been opened again. And the people's faith in God will bring them a better future.

State power is being steadily replaced with God power.

American civilization has flourished economically mainly because we understood the role of private property and the role of law in protecting it. In stories and rules both the Torah and the Bible support this way of life. When America followed the Biblical blueprint, it codified by law those values.

Secular societies who believe we are all just sophisticated animals to be housed by the state, do not have the same blueprint. Therefore, books which run counter to that must be destroyed or hidden from the people.

. One doesn't have to look
very far to see the effects of religious power in government, eg the Taliban....

One doesn't have to look very far for the effect of banning religion either. It's right there in your post.

It doesn't take too much of a stretch to see the parallels here in this country what with the Religious Right's attempts to take
over political control of the government.
If that were to happen there is no doubt we would lose some of the freedom and rights we now enjoy

Trying to kick religious speech out of the free speech umbrella woke these guys up. PC went a little too far IMO.
There is no constitutional right that protects one from being offended. If Christianity were going to take over the government they would have done it long ago ....and it would have been easier. Of course I will defend your right to be wary, yea, even afraid;)
