A million deaths ...
Regardless of the numbers, the tragedy on 9/11 is not in the same league as Pearl Harbor. On 9/11 some crazy civilians acted according to their narrow views. 9/11 was more similar to the Patty Hearst sensationalized shootout with the SLA than it is to an organized war. The attack on Grenada is more of a war than is this grab bag of civil liberty violations. We are involved in an large scale international roundup of criminals. Like Bonny & Clyde, they may strike and strike again. If there is a danger to the fabric of the country it comes from how we Americans act, and not via the next plane or building or town full of people that the kookey cult of Bin Laden attacks.
