JPR, I am not about ready to give up on Musharraf yet. I do agree with you that probably his Hindu genes is what makes a relatively moderate general from all the generals who have been in power all these years (Zia, Yahya, Ayub etc. etc.) Musharraf is surrounded by hawks such as Abdus Sattar etc. So I would say he needs help. I am not ready yet to give up on him yet. And it is the same with the Pakistanis. There are radicals starting with Jinnah who has screwed up the scene in the sub continent. I would just hope that Musharraf can clean the ISI and other extremists before he gets assassinated which is always the way things have been done in Pakistan in the past 50 years. Remember the sabotage of Zia's plane?
