Searle,
How are you? I still enjoy reading your comments. This last correction is a bad looking haircut but not to be unexpected but still disliked. Hope its over soon or by 310. Any how you had a thought in the last post
<the US cannot take on, militarily, nearly 1.5 billion people simply because they worship God differently. Clearly, and not to its advantage, the US has embroiled itself in the same never-ending conflict against Islam as has Israel.> I guess the argument is as old as the gold in them there hills. Who is against whom? Most of us here in the USA could have left Islam alone if not for 9/11. Now you look a little deeper and see that maybe one religion wants to destroy the other maybe a little more than the other side.
That is what has changed for me. I am a believer in God but do not care for the way time and organization and blind zealousness of leadership has applied itself to secular religious views from all areas of the world the USA included. It has become exclusive and not inclusive of people from all sides. Personally I believe if God had made religion it would have been inclusive so maybe most of religion is just another poor invention of us humans. What ever.
