Amazing isn't it that the Europeans view the Palis as "freedom fighters", but the atrocities of France and Spain in denying the right of the Basque people--who are NOT French or Spanish--from self-determination in their homeland is never mentioned, never investigated by the UN, never made the subject of an international conference or resolution.

Are the Basques lesser people, who deserve to be treated like animals? Or are their persecutors simply well-placed members of "the club"?

Hi Hawkmoon; Re: "They leave Arafat alone because the EUropean leadership is protecting him ..."

In other words, your position (if I misunderstood, please correct) is that Israel doesn't have the freedom to kill Arafat because of international pressure originating in Europe.

If that is your position, then what would be the consequences to Israel for ignoring that pressure, or do you have a suggestion on how to reverse that pressure?
