Mike, it may be that indeed they were very stupid. But in that one sees the invention of conspiracy by those with an agenda and the piecing together of all kinds of "well they know or knew this and this and this"..... And the reality is that possibly several, all of whom may have known a little just did not connect dots in the noise of the millions of thing that were going on in their lives. Having read so many so called damning reports where I had knowledge and having see the total corruption of times and details, I am very slow to judge. Mike, one thing to always remember, Priests are in the business of loving and forgiving. No one seems to consider that they are giving there life on faith. This means there life is about trusting others. Engineers have a far more cautious perspective. Life is very complex and it's obvious that poor judgements were made. What causes bad judgement, it's always a case of ignorance, stupidity, deception. God knows the answer and I donot. I hope it's mostly ignorance and trust that lead to delays in revealing and finally fixing the problems. tom watson tosiwmee
