AOL still has some (not alot), but some, outstanding technicians at Netscape. I agree that AOL isn't a tech company, but a media company.

One other thing to consider is AOL's connectivity...they still represent the largest ISP. There must be some play involved there.

As for me blaming MSFT, I agree that ORCL has to accept some blame for their supposed "misdeeds" (though I still have yet to determine what they are besides being involved with a seriously f'd up governmental institution).
But MSFT has done quite a bit of good lobbying and PR work over the last year and half. They are not to be laughed off or brushed off in this regard. Call it a "mantra", but the fact of the matter is MSFT is far more dangerous than ORCL will ever be. And if you don't believe that, you're the one who is engaging in mantras....
