stan, << I'm concerned we may not get this big stock selloff everyone expects. The indexes could still erode a bit but a recipe for panic doesn't seem to be here.
>>

Here's my opinion, and we all know about opinions??

Anyway, After watching Fridays action, I'm stuck between, bounce or blunder, but I don't think we'll capitulate unless the Indices hit major low levels.

We don't enough players to capitulate at these levels.

Do we really think the average Mutual Fund holder is going to throw in the towel here..NoWay!!, they've held too long to let it go now, But!!, if the Indices could tear off another 8/10% that just might open some eye's.

I don't like what's going on in MrSofty either. There was an unusual amount of buying in a time when Softy should have shown some weakness. (Technically can't be ignored)

Why didn't Softy get fined? (Maybe it would have went to the bottom line)

Why doesn't anyone care that Softy has released more Security Flaws in there server software? (Old news)

Somethings up and I feel Softy is going to spring a curveball on MrMarket and give it one more dose of hope.

I also see a lot of MSFT pumping on the financial channels this weekend. (A lot of, "you got to be buying MSFT here")

We could be in for another technical bounce here and I will be watching the "SmallCaps" "Softy" and the "USD" for direction.

We could have a pretty good rally to reset the indicators and still never break the YTD downtrend line.

If we come out of the gate weak tomorrow morning, then Fridays lows will act as a buffer.

stan, "gold unattractive near term"

What period are you speaking of when you say "near term?"

When do you expect the possible blow-off top you mentioned Friday?

Here's another opinion that portends a further weakening $US rather than a strengthening one.
