People who are raised in the military and diplomatic corps feel comfortable wherever they are.

Speaking of provincials, Bradford Marsalis stopped in my lounge (he's not provincial and its not really my lounge but I'm the only bartender and I work unsupervised and get to pick the music, so its got my stamp on it) briefly. People were two deep at the bar and I was really running, so we couldn't talk much, but I learned that he had gone to Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa to do a little golfing, but didn't bother to play. Said he was treated "inhospitably." Nice, huh?

He was in this humble town to play the final night of their yearly Mozart Festival. Musicians from Lincoln Center have been in town all week, its been a real breath of fresh air having them in the bar. I got a kick out of how many dainty women orchestra members were doing shots of tequila! Shots of Makers Mark were very popular too...
