- my notes from confer call concerning aborted Plastics Divis sale indicates Tyc is doing a lot better than anyone is giving them credit for:

"- complaing abut 6/7/02 call... saying they’ve - real harsh - syaing bd has to change - never saw an audit of the plastics divis - // answring: ssaying the bd has been working - investgation w/ take 6-8 wks - per MS - if anything material showed up in the plastics audit w/ have caused pr wtrhs to amend their prev finl’s - problem w/ the plastics sale was that we were seen as a weak seller & no reason to unload core business - "

My guess is that you'll be able to buy them much cheaper than the anticipated IPO price. Lets face it, no one knows for sure how badly damaged CIT has been during its brief association with TYC. When there's uncertainty, there's no interests--witness the companies desperate attempts to find a buyer even at yard-sale prices. No such luck.
