Unsurprisingly, we disagree. I remember the police massacre of innocent First Amendment protestors at Kent State.

Perhaps you think it's OK for totalitarian police forces to shoot innocent citizens. If so, I'm terribly disappointed in your warped sense of values.

My point is that we are on the slippery slope toward totalitarianism in the country, and that this is no solution to a better future for the majority of Americans.

What would "too late" be?

The first amendment doesn't guarantee courtesy.

But it is a guarantee against live ammunition being used against public assemblies. The anonymous commander who ordered NG troops to lock and load failed that test.
