I have noticed the union guys squeeze the pneumatic nailer's trigger twice as good. I bet they even read the bubble on a level twice as well too. -ng-

Mexican and a lot of Central American now. The Mexican workers do great work, at least on the commercial sites my non-union husband works on. If he works on a scale site they get scale, same as the union guys without the dues. Got more than a few friends that are union, can't say they've done as well as my husband but they do have a nice hall to hang around in when they get laid off or are between jobs which seems to be a little more frequent than him. As for skills, you need a few more skills and tools to work on commercial interiors than you need to build shacks. The Mexicans learn fast, are eager to work, show up on time and are sober....something the locals here in Baltimore are sorely lacking.
