Nehru, had deep misgivings about dividing the country and after the 1948 war realized just how big a mistake it was. Gandi was against the taking of Kashmir from the get go. Your finger pointing at the faults of Pakistan has nothing to do with the basic question of Independence for Kashmir.Your are trying to excuse India's land grab by pointing out what to you are greater evils. The basic truth of the matter is that there will NEVER be peace in this area until India & Pakistan come to some accomodation with each other over this. If the US can be a dealmaker in this all to the good. At least you will get to vote on the secession question from LA County. It is on the ballot is it not?
