gao, as you said this was a felony and I proffer it was a treasonous felony because of the massive FUD and actual time delays caused in the center of the executive branch. If the investigation cost a billion dollars then that's the price of such a widespread conspiracy of treasonous felony.

It boggles my mind that any sane person would attempt to defend or minimize this stupid, dangerous and criminal conduct. on the other hand my reply was to tigie and what's new pussycat, LOL

Felony is felony, as you say.

But to get the facts straight: the official GAO report estimated damages to be in the $12,000 - $14,000 range (with an outside estimate up to $25,000). The report also said they had reports of similar amounts of damage during the Bush/Clinton transition, and during the Reagan/Bush transition....

The GAO investigation was also estimated to have cost somewhere north of $200,000.
