Yes I have heard about trading systems using such approaches. I have taken a look at them. What you have basically described is more a gain and loss exit strategy rather than a trading system. What is the trigger? Only one indicator? No reaffirming indicators? What about going short? Same type of system? Different indicator or same indicator? Without these factors, the system seems like playing black or red at a roulette table. What has been the percentage of winning trades? What types of indicator have you toyed with? Defiant
