Jim, if you don't mind giving me your opinion on Hammer. You seem to not have sentiments toward AMD or INTC and in that respect might offer an unbiased opinion.

Is Hammer going to be good enough to stop AMD's downward spiral?

Jim- AMD is continuously slipping dates and designing unmarketable chips.

If you're agressive, you will occasionally miss dates. That's a given. The important thing is that there have been no duds over the last 3 years or so. Yeah, Palomino was late, but the product turned out to be OK in the end. T-bred is late, but may still be OK. The .13 transition is a little slow, but seems to be OK, particularly when compared to other companies. I think AMD engineers are doing fine.

You really want to join Tony, Yousef, Monica, Paul as a basher?

Jim,

Maybe you should go in and teach AMD's engineers a bit about the "process thingy". It'd be good to take advice from someone who obviously knows so much about how to compete against Intel better.
