RE:"No, Warren Buffett never bought Intel or Microsoft when they were overvalued. But he never bought them when they were undervalued either. He doesn't buy tech stocks because, as he says, he doesn't understand them. That doesn't mean he thinks they are a speculation."

Buffett claimed he didn't buy tech because he didn't understand it. OTOH, I believe after meeting and conversing with Bill Gates, he did finally buy some Microsoft stock. Exactly when and how much, I don't know.

Hi Robert, RE: "No, Warren Buffett never bought Intel or Microsoft when they were overvalued. But he never bought them when they were undervalued either. He doesn't buy tech stocks because, as he says, he doesn't understand them. "

Which is one reason why he doesn't understand the importance of stock options for motivating employees.

A person has to work in the high-tech environment to fully understand the importance of it.
