As I walk this land of broken dreams
I have visions of many things
But happiness is just an illusion
Filled with sadness and confusion

What becomes of the brokenhearted
Who had love that's now departed
I know I've got to find
Some kind of peace of mind, baby

...yada yada yada

I'll be searching everywhere
Just to find someone to care
I'll be looking every day
I know I'm gonna find a way
Nothing's gonna stop me now
I'll find a way somehow

You have to look at the trend, Jay, not focus on the data point. We're at an inflection point in the tech trend when Qualcomm can come up with something positive to say about earnings. You make a valid point regarding "special costs," but at some point the last body from the last two year's carnage will be buried and these one time charges will cease. As to reducing future guidance, that's called "managing expectations".

Few can do this. Being part of the herd is just too comfortable.
