Hi ACF Mike, <<at some point the last body from the last two year's carnage will be buried and these one time charges will cease>> I agree; but still way too early, by either 24 to 60 months. Nasdaq needs to hit 900, DJIA 5000, and Dollar down another 25-30%; plus/minus 50% or all predictions. Chugs, Jay

Hi AC, backing up for one moment, it has come to my attention that Templeton had recently repeated his 2001 warning ...

treasuries.com

>He counts the bull market as having begun in 1982 and having ended last year – an 18-year run – and wonders out loud if we may be witnessing "maybe a nine-year bear market."<

... and if so, then after the nine-years grind-to-dust, we run smack into your predicted millennium demographic slaughter.

Chugs, Jay

re QCOM visibility

Qcom did not reduce expectations, in fact they said the their September quarter looked good with orders increasing due to the spread of 1x technology. Other sources questioned Qcom's projections. QCOM invariably delivers what they promise in earnings and technology.
