Oh? Has there been 4% inflation in the past few weeks? Since all my income, all my expenses, all my assets and all my liabilities are denominated in Dollars, I haven't lost a thing unless there's actually been a surge in the Dollar price of goods and services. And if prices have risen 4% in the last few weeks, then we should all buy retailers 'cause their margins just zoomed to the moon. ;-)

I don't think you quite get the bearish perspective. When a bear looks at anything, he only sees the negative. For an example, when we look at ice cream, we think dessert. When a bear looks at ice cream, all he sees is cream fat, calories and artificial preservatives, and ultimately death from cholesterol overload. <g>
