Earlie, sorry, but for the life of me I can't figure out how the NYSE margin # will get me anywhere close to your doubling of the % of home income spent on paying the mortgage.

The Federal Reserve, which is the official source for this statistic shows that the % of income spent paying the mortgage has gone up by 1% over the last 20 years.

If you have a better source than the Fed, why not cite it?

In my case i get data from Apogee research and i simply have no way to copy and paste so i am now basically keeping what i know to myself if i can't link(plus there are those that actually blindly trust fed data:). Their are those on this thread that don't have clue who to trust, generally they trust no one.
