This is unreal, a nation which had never ever won a game in a WC in its history is in the semifinal.........check that gain, SEMIFINAL!!!!

And they do deserve it IMHO. Gutsy, never quit, plentiful skill, extreme confidence and, most surprising of all, no mistakes in the defense......they have only conceded two goals in the tournament so far (one by Mathis)...And when it came to PKs, who would have ever thought that Casillas will come empty, I thought it was over, these Koreans will melt from the pressure against a very talented goalie...wow, all five in the net!

I think the ref did a good job today. The linesmen must allow the advantage to the offense when it is close to call the OS for crying out loud. And the movement of the Korean goalie was way too blatant not to call (then again, so it was the American women goalie's in the final against China a few years back) I do not believe I have ever seen it called.

Regardless, if Raul was in there, Spain could have won. Instead, they kind of sat back in the first half hour instead of taking it to the Koreans....nobody has taken the game to the Koreans, let's see if the Germans will...but man, these guys must be tired by now...unbelievable run they are having.

Joakim, Spain's best player today, missed the PK, the cruelty of soccer in full display.

Spain, in true fashion, again breaks hearts in the most surprising fashion...

Italy must be proud they lost to the semifinalist<g>.......and who knows, maybe the WC winner, GASP!

No it was not a well called game...

For starters, the clearest error was to invalidate the Spanish goal in the second OT.

Then at least there were one and maybe two off-sides that were not.

The worst thing about this referee, is that allowed many shoving and pushing without being called, and the Korean (Dutch) coach did a silly display by throwing his jacket on the floor... in stead of calling him to order he goes and smiles and exchanges strokes on the face... ??

WHAT ? I have never seen a referee do this.

He was immensely lucky that the Spaniards and Koreans behave and are good sportsmen..

This referee in the middle of a game, say with Italy, Bulgaria and/or Argentina and the game becomes a disaster... as the kicking would have become massive.

This, without doubt is the worst refereeing of the tournament, which I have to admit, it has been falling apart as the games progressed... (remember Brazil - England, throwing Ronaldihno out ?) Incomprehensible and unacceptable.

I hope the referees in the following games will improve.
