Buschman, do you think YOU are the only person who understands the issues, and that your insight is greater than that of the rating agencies? If a company defers cash payments, there is a reason. And the reason is what the rating agencies are addressing.

For your info I hold no position, long or short in WCOM.

My take on the payment deferral was an intended statement to the market that the company was serious about survival (like the MCIT dividend) and was showing the market financial responsibility. Unfortunately it was read wrong. I think that Worldcom needs some more creative thinking to address a market geared to profit more from its destruction than its survival.

For those that believe, current prices are a gift.
