I am not saying so. It was the ISraeli Defence minister who does belong to Sharon's political party who said that it was Israel's occupation policy which was producing suicide bombers.

The cause of criminal conduct is criminals. Pure and simple. Exactly. When Sharon went to the Temple Mount with 1000 troops, and the next day had his snipers firing into an unarmed crowd, that was a criminal act. He calculated that he could piss off extremists in the Palestinian camp, especially after Barak had foisted a few scraps of desert on the Palestinians and told them "Take it or leave it". He was correct. The extremists retaliated, and the cycle of violence pushed him into office. Now, the cycle of violence has escalated to the point where he has gained the necessary political cover for his real goal - ethnic cleansing of the West Bank. Tom
