KT,

There seems to be a total disconnect between Wall Street and the Government spinning the economic numbers and reality. They keep on looking at the consumer spending numbers and this in reality is not the root of our GDP. The GDP is generated by companies and government spending capital. Consumers get their income from corporations and government and as we know corporations have pulled in their horns and are on austerity programs. There is nothing new in Washington as if you look at the US public debt it never did retreat - all along it has been a game of numbers. <g>

The world is now finding out the world of capitalism in the US is full of crooks and cronies. Wall Street has always been a den of thieves, as I can remember my father talking about this back in the 40's. It does seem like our corporations added some crooks during the 1980's and 1990's. <g>

This is going to end badly.
