Re: "You want love? Go see your mother.": Funny thing is, about 40 years ago, companies tended to treat their employees with love, respect, honor and dignity. Didn't give much thought to how the public perceived them. Today, it's just the opposite. Treating employees with disdain is now the order of the day ... along with super-hyped campaigns to project a warm and fuzzy public image. If you want to score some points at the bargaining table and get management's attention, start dropping hints that you'll start throwing darts at the company's well-constructed image. That'll get their attention pronto. Image is more important than reality.
