I don't know about declaring a thread dead or instantly redirecting someone... many an old thread have been revived with success in the past. I'm hoping to solve the problems whereby (a) the original post has hopelessly outdated information which serves to dissuade conversation or (b) a thread keeps showing up on top of searches when the topic is being discussed elsewhere. In this case, an SI Admin would just provide relevant information on the original post. What do you think? Thanks, John
