Govt is public Tim, you be right, but we can still hope I dont bother with hope anymore regarding fed govt a collosus of clusterphucks not one bit I expect no protection from terrorism I expect no social security income EVER if injured, I expect nothing from Workmen's Comp if I screw up my taxes, I am guilty unless proved innocent I expect few bridges to be repaired I expect no borders to become secure I expect continued multi-$billions per year in pork (e.g. Carnival Cruise liner abandoned in Missippi, cost $700M) I expect whizbang weapons to prevail over more effective smaller weapons (e.g. F16 is less effective than F4 -- unsure name, F4?) I expect layers of security measures that tax my time, offering little or no added protection (e.g. airports take 2 hrs now, with zero added safety) I expect airlines to serve up the lousiest air quality imaginable under legal statutes I expect darting snails, spotted owls, and other obscure creatures to have great priority over jobs that feed small humans I expect before long to have Islamic conspirators living in this country to successfully press for "excessive force" violations against law enforcement officers I expect only more and more and more demands on my income and almost nothing back in return and possibly some Medicare and Medicaid when I am more gray I just hope by then I am still well hung rather than hanged well I am reminded of a quote by H.L.Mencken about why he lived in the USA his answer: "why would anyone want to attend the carnival?" this will be an incredibly chaotic painful decade BUY GOLD sorry, but I had to slip that in / jim
