You can't, of course. OTOH, most single offenders wouldn't require much opprobrium. The single offenders would be, for example, the woman who shoots her daughter's battering ex who has been stalking her and harassing her despite a court order. We know she is not a repeat offender because her target was very specific. She's very unlikely to ever kill anyone else. She's not a habitual murderer. So she deserves some loss of reputation for taking the law into her own hands and perhaps for her lack of impulse control but there's no reason to run her out of the bridge club.
