>> market could be close to capitulation but it will not happen without huge volume and a lot of fear that things will get much worse yet.

Isn't it more likely that the selling will peter out as remaining margin accounts get wiped out, and people discard the idea that it is possible to make money in the market. I think the bottom will be marked more by lack of interest than great panic. After so many stocks lost 99%, what is there to panic about ? I have not made a single transaction in a couple of weeks. I used to make several per day. But since my cash is exhausted, there is nothing to do. I expect millions of people are in this same position. We can't buy, and we're not going to sell. Everyone I know says they do not look at their statements anymore. So if people are looking for large volume, maybe it can't happen, because most retail speculators are sidelined due to injuries to their finances.

But hey, you're playing this market like a fiddle. I am amazed that anyone can find a profit in this whipsaw. But I also wonder if you have any theory about where the selling comes from ? And whether you think it is related to dollar dropping relative to Euro ? The Euro is up over 1% today. So I guess Nasdaq will start down another 50 pts tomorrow.

Well, I hope your good luck holds out.
