as usual, you're making some great points Jeff. I have to agree it seems to be the buzz word, but once again, whenever something gets to be mainstream, it gets mis-used i think.

Generally the definition means "giving up", and i don't think for a minute that it has to be a dramatic death thro... that stuff comes from people watching too much t.v. (and believing it<g>)

My thoughts are that this is where the bullish percents become so useful for gauging true oversold status in the broad market, and "capitulation" as it were.

I bet that conservative couple that was over for supper the other night doesn't track em either<gg>

The 1974 trendline for the NASDAQ Composite is around 1180-1190 this month and next. Maybe that's what it'll take.
