Depends on how you view it. I agree that nobody likes to see a market shrinking, so that's a big negative to not invest in the sector.
On the other hand, if you review how consolidation occurs after a shakeout in any other bubble, the survivors prosper tremendously. ORCL is in that position. I think he's calling the shots as he sees them.

I don't see this statement as overwhelmingly positive or negative, just a statement of facts.

You know - I guess there's just enough used car salesman in me to appreciate the "pump up the team aggressive kind of sales pitch".
