If this was the real deal, we'll have a re-test no later than Monday that will get to within 2% of the low according to past patterns. If it isn't the real deal, we'll slice through to new lows. Either way, caution is advised for both long and short positions, with exit plans firmly in place in case the market goes away from your position.

I must have missed all the GNTs to support this glorious forthcoming rally

What are you calling for in the near term.

FWIW, Here is Cramer's take. He is not convinced by the rally but is it better to take that as a contrarian indicator.

Bogus mark-up close. But a great opportunity to figure out how to immunize your portfolio to the next WorldCom (WCOM:Nasdaq - news - commentary - research - analysis). That's right, the next one. Because we are not through yet.

I know it would be terrific to say "that's it, we had the whoosh." But history tells us that wasn't it. It simply wasn't horrible enough.

Plus, we are smack in the middle of the darned mark-up period, where mutual funds are making their quarters come alive with pleasure.

I say, take a little off the table into the strength of tomorrow's opening, just for peace of mind.

Because we know that when the next telecom disaster hits, we want to be able to pick. And to be able to pick we need to be liquid.

Liquidity and safety first. Worry about gains later.

Justa, still too many "ifs" in that scenario, I have not seen the white in the MM's eyes, so I am not very comfortable with that, but neither did I see that white on the February low, and I jumped back on almost after a full third of the total rally was already under the belt, I am trying not to repeat the February mistake, I am also keeping a close watch for the exit door, thus I have donned my horns yet, just unzipped a little the bear suit. Where do you think we go in the next four weeks?
